TIMING: The Sweepstakes begins on March 18, 2008 at 12:01AM Pacific Time (PT) and ends on April 8, 2008 at 11:59PM PT (the “Sweepstakes Period”). 
ELIGIBILITY: “The Kite Runner DVD Sweepstakes” (the "Sweepstakes") is open only to: (a) legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia; (b) entrants who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry; and (c) those who have had Internet access prior to the first date of this promotion. Employees of Paramount Home Entertainment, Inc. (the “Sponsor”), its affiliates, advertising & promotion agencies, as well as any other entity, or individual, directly associated with this promotion, and the immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and/or household members of these entities, are not eligible to participate. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. This promotion is intended for viewing in the United States only and shall only be construed and evaluated according to United States law. You are not authorized to participate in the Sweepstakes if you are not located within the United States.
HOW TO ENTER: To enter, go to the sponsor’s website at www.kiterunnermovie.com and fill out the electronic entry form with your name, address, email address, and phone number and click the “Submit Entry” button.  By entering, you (“Entrant”) hereby agree that Entrant has read and will be bound by these Official Rules and Regulations (“Rules”), as well as the Privacy Policy of Sponsor found at http://www.paramountvantage.com/site/press/fprivacy.html.  For purposes of this Sweepstakes, “receipt” of an internet entry occurs when Sponsor’s servers record the entry information resulting from the Entrant clicking the “Submit Entry” button. Each Entrant is limited to one entry per person/email address during the Sweepstakes Period. Any additional entries by an individual will be void. Entries become property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Automated entries (including but not limited to entries submitted using any robot, script, macro, or other automated service) are prohibited, and any use of such automated devices will cause disqualification. Sponsor and its advertising and promotions agencies are not responsible for any failure of the Site during the Sweepstakes Period, including any telephone problems or technical malfunction of any computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received on account of traffic congestion on the internet or at the Site, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from downloading any material related to the Sweepstakes, all of which may affect a person's ability to participate in the Sweepstakes.  In case of dispute, entries will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet Access Provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Winners must meet the eligibility requirements set forth in these Rules in order to qualify for their prize.
PRIZE: One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive $1000 cash. Ten (10) First Prize winners will each receive a copy of “The Kite Runner” DVD, autographed by author Khaled Hosseini. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of First Prize is $29.99. ARV of all prizes to be won is $1299.99.

DRAWING AND NOTIFICATION: Prizewinners will be determined in a random drawing from all eligible entries received. Drawing will be held on or about April 30, 2008 by US Sweepstakes & Fulfillment Co., an Independent Sweepstakes Administrator whose decisions are final on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received. Winners of the Sweepstakes will be notified by phone, email or mail. If a potential winner cannot be reached within five (5) calendar days from the first notification attempt, then such person shall be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. Winner will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release within seven (7) days after notification is mailed, or prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.

CONDITIONS: Prizes are not transferable or refundable. No cash or other substitutions may be made for the prizes, except by Sponsor, who reserves the exclusive right, in its sole discretion, to substitute different prizes of equal or greater value if the prize is not available for any reason as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor's decisions shall be final and conclusive in all matters relating to the Promotion. Any local, state, and federal taxes, if applicable, are the responsibility of the winner. Grand Prize winner will receive an IRS Form 1009 for the value of the Grand Prize in January 2009. Participant's entry constitutes their agreement to abide by these Official Rules. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

LIMITATION AGAINST LIABILITY: Winner agrees that (except where prohibited) Sponsor may use winner's name, picture, portrait, likeness and voice for advertising and promotional purposes without further compensation. All entrants hereby agree to release and hold Sponsor harmless from and against all losses, damages, liabilities, claims, actions, proceedings, or judgments arising out of or relating to entrant's participation in this Sweepstakes, or use/misuse of any prize awarded and acknowledges that said parties have neither made, nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize or portion thereof, including but not limited to, its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose. Any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by arbitration. Any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes, but in no event attorney's fees. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend part or all of this Sweepstakes should virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes beyond the control of sponsor corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Sweepstakes. In such event, Sponsor may award the Prize in a random drawing from all eligible entries received up to the date of cancellation or suspension. Sponsor and its promotion and advertising agencies are not responsible for technical, hardware, software or telephone failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, fraud, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions, whether caused by the Sponsor, users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the promotion or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions which may damage a user's system or limit a participant's ability to participate in the promotion. Sponsor may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Sweepstakes or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or Sponsor’s representatives.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE
SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND
SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY’S FEES) FROM
ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING
CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
PRIVACY POLICY: Sponsor will be collecting personal data about Entrants in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which is attached to these Official Rules and Regulations.  By participating in the Sweepstakes, Entrants hereby agree to the collection and use of their personal information and acknowledges that he/she has read and accepted the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy at http://www.paramountvantage.com/site/press/fprivacy.html.

INDEPENDENT SWEEPSTAKES ADMINISTRATOR: The Sweepstakes is being administered by The US Sweepstakes & Fulfillment Co., 625 Panorama Trail (Building 2, Suite #100), Rochester, NY 14625, whose decisions will be considered final in all matters related to the conduct of this promotion.
